About Researcher

Bambang Sumintono graduated from doctoral program at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He is an editorial board member of: Educational Assessment Evaluation and Accountability, School Leadership and Management, and Leadership and Schools Policy. His research interests are in educational administration and leadership, educational assessment and measurement, and Indonesian education development.

Current Research

  1. Educational Assessment and Large-Scale Assessment

Research on psychometric analysis of cognitive and non-cognitive test instrument based on objective measurement model (Rasch Model), analysis of multi rater assessment data using Many Facets Rasch Model (MFRM), and analysis of large-scale data set from international comparison study.

  1. Educational Policy and Leadership

Research on educational policy regard to Indonesian educational development issues such as educational sustainability, university and school accreditation, teacher certification, as well as about principal training and preparation, middle school leadership, and teacher professional development.

  1. International Simulation-based Learning for School Leaders (ISLSL) Project, in UIII is led by Dr Lukman Nul Hakim

The (ISLSL) project is an international research (involving 16 countries) and professional development led by Professor Philip Hallinger of Mahidol University, Thailand, that explores the use of online simulations to train and assess future school principals and educational leaders.
