The Institute for Transformative Education and Society (ITES), Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) is pleased to invite you to a Public Lecture:

BEYOND THE GAME: UniLeague for Youth Well-Being
Sport, Education, and Global Engagement

This public lecture will explore how sport particularly football can become more than competition. Drawing on the experience of UniLeague, the discussion will examine how university sport can create spaces for belonging, teamwork, leadership, peer support, and youth mental well-being, while also serving as a platform for education, community building, and global engagement.

The lecture will be delivered by Ratu Tisha Destria, Founder of the Grha Gemah Nusa (GGN) Foundation and Vice President of the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and completed the prestigious FIFA Master – International MA in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport, jointly delivered by De Montfort University in the United Kingdom, SDA Bocconi School of Management in Italy, and the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. Her career has included football data and sports entrepreneurship, competition management, and national and international football governance. She previously served as Secretary General of PSSI and currently serves as Vice President of PSSI.

More recently, she introduced the UniLeague experience into a global discussion at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, where football was presented as a platform for youth mental health, well-being, and social connection.

The lecture will be particularly relevant to those interested in education, youth development, mental well-being, sport, leadership, international relations, and diplomacy.

The event is open to the public. We warmly invite the UIII community and wider public to join this conversation on how sport can help young people connect, learn, lead, and flourish.
