Public Lecture: Systematic Literature Review

Dr Visal Moosa will give lecture a critical point in any research, systematic literature review. This review is a rigorous and structured research method used to comprehensively identify, evaluate, and synthesize existing scholarly literature on a specific research question or topic. It follows a predefined and systematic process to minimize bias and ensure transparency in the selection and analysis of relevant studies. Researchers begin by formulating clear inclusion and exclusion criteria, searching multiple databases and sources to retrieve relevant articles, and then critically appraising the quality of each study. The key objective is to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of knowledge in the chosen field, identifying trends, gaps, and patterns in the existing literature. This approach aids in evidence-based decision-making, informs research directions, and contributes to the development of a robust theoretical framework. Systematic literature reviews are widely utilized in academia, healthcare, policy-making, and other research domains to inform best practices and guide future investigations.
