Lunch Talk #18: Transmission of Al-Qur’an in Islamic Education

Date Start: 27/06/2023 1:00 pm
Lecture Hall, UIII Faculty A Building

The transmission of the Qur’an is a cornerstone of Islamic education. It involves imparting the holy text’s teachings, recitation, and interpretation to successive generations. Islamic education focuses on preserving the Qur’an’s integrity, accuracy, and spiritual essence through memorization (Tahfiz) and proper recitation (Tajweed). Students learn its meanings (Tafsir) and context (Asbab al-Nuzul) to comprehend its guidance fully. Islamic schools (Madrasas) and scholars play a crucial role in transmitting Qur’anic knowledge. Technology and online platforms also facilitate global access. The Qur’an’s transmission fosters spiritual connection, moral values, and a deeper understanding of faith. It intertwines faith and education, instilling reverence for the Qur’an as Muslims seek to live by its principles while passing down its teachings to future generations. Dr Sri Widyastri in the eighteenth #LunchTalk discuss the topic about transmisson of Al-Quran in Islamic Education.
