This course is part of a program concentration in Master of Arts in Education of Indonesian International Islamic University. The aim of Human Development course is to provide students with an orientation to theory, practice, and research on human development by integrating an Islamic values perspective to enhance ethical understanding and holistic approaches to developmental issues.
This course addresses issues of three aspects that underlie development across the life span (physical, cognitive, and socio-‐emotional) in the context of families, schools, communities, cultures, and state. The course is designed for numerous careers in human development, such as an educator, researcher, non-clinical counselor, and policy analyst. To ensure the achievement of the outcomes, this course utilizes several model of assignments: reading reflection, presentation of research draft, presentation and submission of the final research proposal.
